What does the full participation registration fee include?

The full participation rate ($450 early bird / $550 after Oct. 15) is an all-inclusive price that covers hotel lodging, all retreat programming, meals, and attendant care services as needed. This rate is available only to participants who attend the full retreat, including all sessions, meals, and overnight stays.

If a person is not interested in staying overnight, we have a new option for 2027 that allows them to only pay for the retreat activities ($325 early bird/$375 after Oct. 15) without the cost of the hotel.

Why is full participation required for the discounted rate?

The Leadership Retreat is designed as a complete, immersive experience. Full participation allows us to offer a significantly reduced rate while maintaining the quality, accessibility, and integrity of the program. The discounted rate cannot be applied to partial attendance or combined with itemized pricing.

How are hotel rooms arranged?

Participants stay in shared hotel rooms. Rooming participants together is an intentional part of the retreat and plays an important role in the community-building and relationship-building that happens throughout the weekend.

Can I request a private hotel room?

Yes. When registering, please select the "retreat without hotel" option and then book your room separately.

What if I need to pay for individual components instead of the full package?

Participants who do not attend the full retreat must be charged the actual cost of each component. Itemized pricing is listed above and includes lodging, meals, attendant care services, and workshops by day.

Can I get an itemized invoice for reimbursement or external payment?

Absolutely. If you need an itemized invoice for reimbursement, employer payment, or another funding source, contact us at stephanie@disabilityempowhernetwork.org and we’ll be happy to help.

What are the prices for individual components?
If a participant prefers to pay for individual components instead of the full package, we are required to charge the actual

cost of each item as follows:

Lodging: $175 per night
Attendant Care Services: $150 per day
Meals: 6 meals provided at $50 each
Workshops & Activities:
- Day 1 = $150
- Day 2 = $250
- Day 3 = $150

Please note: The full participation rate cannot be applied to partial attendance or used in combination with itemized pricing.

I do not identify as someone with a disability. Can I still register for the retreat?

At this point in time, we are not opening it to those without disabilities. Space is limited and our focus is on providing space for people with disabilities. I am interested in attending the retreat and have a personal care attendant (PCA) that would need to accompany me. How do I go about getting this accommodation approved?

We encourage you to reach out to our volunteers who are planning the retreat (retreat@disabilityempowhernetwork.org) to discuss what PCA support you need, talk through the options, and determine what you would be most comfortable with.

I'm interested in leadership retreat but cannot afford it. Can I still attend?

We know finances are a significant barrier in the disability community. While we don’t have a scholarship fund right now, participants are welcome to use the fundraising option to raise their registration costs.

The fundraising option is for participants who need help covering their own registration cost. They can fundraise toward part or all of their registration rather than having to pay the full amount themselves. There aren’t additional eligibility requirements based on employment or disability status.

For those who sign up, our welcome team will send them a link to Givebutter where they can create a profile to fundraise.

I have dietary restrictions. Will this be accounted for at the retreat?

Yes. We ask about dietary restrictions on your interest form and do our best to ensure everyone has food to eat.

Is the retreat venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the retreat venue is wheelchair accessible.

I am traveling from out of state for the retreat. Does the cost include transportation to and from the airport?

No, the full participation rate ($450 early bird / $550 after Oct. 15) is an all-inclusive price that covers hotel lodging, all retreat programming, meals, and attendant care services as needed. While we do not cover transportation, we can help coordinate wheelchair accessible transportation for those who need it.
