Empowered Futures

Our Empowered Futures program offers pre-employment transition services (also known as Pre-ETS) to support students with disabilities (ages 14-22) in preparing for a successful future career.

We offer various career preparation services that align with your strengths, interests, and goals including exploring jobs, getting guidance on what to do after high school (such as entering the workforce or applying to college), training on self-advocacy skills, and even assistance in finding hands-on opportunities to learn and get experience in career fields that interest you.

Empowered Futures does not replace your school's transition planning and educational services, it serves as a complement to school supports. Our goal is to address the unique challenges that disabled students face when preparing for employment, exploring post-secondary options, and developing essential soft skills, thereby improving job readiness and future success.

We currently only offer Empowered Futures opportunities to students in Monroe County, New York and surrounding areas.

Summer Sessions

August 2025

Empowered Futures Summer Sessions are your chance to explore cool careers, learn new skills, and build confidence for the future. It’s hands-on, interactive, and designed just for you. Whether you’re into arts, childcare, or fixing stuff, you’ll meet new friends and mentors who get it and want to help you succeed.

Employment Summit

November 11, 2025

Our Employment Summit is a one-day, high-energy event where you’ll discover how your strengths can lead to awesome career paths. You’ll meet professionals, learn tips for getting a job, and leave feeling ready to take on the world. It’s your chance to dream big, build connections, and show the world what you’re made of!

Small Group Sessions

Our one-on-one and small group sessions are all about you. Whether you’re figuring out your goals, practicing job interviews, or exploring new interests, we’ll be there to support you every step of the way. These sessions are relaxed, fun, and designed to help you build confidence and skills at your own pace—no boring lectures, just real talk and real support!
